Purpose: To organize, hold and evaluate a large event in Altoona, which will celebrate the community, bring citizens together and encourage others from outside Altoona to participate.

Scope: The Large Event Team is responsible for deciding which event to organize, for planning and implementing the event and evaluating the event’s effectiveness once it has occurred.

Team Goals:

1. To recruit a broad cross section of community members and organizations to get involved
2. To organize an event with universal appeal
3. To effectively market the event
4. To find funding for the event
