New Altoona Survey Control Network

The Altoona City Council recently approved an ordinance requiring new subdivision plats and site plans to be tied to City benchmarks.  A recently completed study by Snyder and Associates established 15 control points in and around the City.  The report will not be distributed in a paper format.  It is only available on the website.  It is posted at www.altoona-iowa.com/departments/zoning.asp.  The file is approximately 28 MB in size and will take approximately 20 minutes to load.  Once loaded, you may want to print or save it to your computer.  Please contact either Aaron Putnam or Chad Quick at 967-5136 with questions.
