New 2006 Building Code Updates January 5, 2007 The Altoona City Council will consider updates to the Altoona Building Codes. The updated codes are as follows: 1. Chapter 155 - Adoption of 2006 International Building Code, 2006 International Residential Code, & 2006 International Existing Building Code. 2. Chapter 156 - Adoption of 2006 International Mechanical Code & 2006 International Fuel Gas Code. 3. Chapter 157 - Adoption of 2006 International Plumbing Code/ Still allowing provisions of 2000 Uniform Plumbing Code except chapters 1 & table 4-1 4. Chapter 158 - Adoption of 2005 National Electrical Code 5. Chapter 160 - Adoption of Contractor Licensing Regulations 6. Chapter 161 - Adoption of 2006 International Fire Code 7.
