Block parties are events in which a local neighborhood gathers to socialize. They are a great way to build relationships with neighbors and strengthen a neighborhood. Residents planning a block party can apply for a block party permit if they want to have their local street temporarily closed for the event. Permit applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the anticipated block party date.
