There are several polling locations in Altoona. To find which location you should go to to vote on Election Day, click here to visit the Secretary of State's website or visit the City's Precinct & Polling Locations webpage. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Voting Early
In Iowa, residents can vote early in all elections by requesting, completing and returning an absentee ballot. For this election, the deadline to request an absentee ballot was Monday, Oct. 23. Early voting is also available at the Polk County Election Office, which is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on weekdays, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 18. until Monday, Nov. 6. The Polk County Election Office is located at 120 2nd Ave, Des Moines, IA 50309.
