Temporary lane and road closures begin Monday, March 25 - 1st Ave S and 7th St SE

Temporary lane and road closures will go into effect beginning Monday, March 25, 2024. These closures are necessary because of finishing work being completed as part of the final phase of the 1st Avenue Reconstruction project.

1st Ave Lane Closure March 2024

The northbound lane of 1st Avenue S will close between 3rd St SE and 2nd St SE. This lane closure is needed as crews will work to replace storm sewer, complete street widening and replace the sidewalk in this area. During the closure, northbound traffic will shift into the two-way left turn lane to travel through the area. Southbound traffic will not be impacted.

7th St SE closure March 2024

7th Street SE between 1st Ave S and 3rd Ave SE will be closed to through traffic. This road closure is necessary as crews will work in the area to complete storm sewer and street patching work that is part of the 1st Avenue Reconstruction Project. There will be no detour posted for this closure, but through traffic is asked to use alternate routes and avoid traveling on 7th St SE while work is underway.
