8th Ave SE closure begins Thursday, August 10

8th Avenue SE will be closed at the intersection with 8th St SE for several months beginning Thursday, August 10, 2023. This intersection will need to be closed as crews work to reconstruct the eastbound lanes of 8th Street SE in the area. Traffic will be maintained in one lane in each direction on 8th Street SE throughout this project. A detour to access the parking lots for Sam Wise Sports Complex will take travelers north along 7th Ave SE, east on 5th Street SE to the softball parking lots.

8th Ave SE Roadwork

Traffic on 8th Ave SE will be permitted at and north of 8th St Pl SE. This closure and roadwork will remain in place until sometime this winter.
